I am soooooo excited to finally get this session on the blog! Back in the spring, my sister (owner and stylist of Backwoods Beauty Salon) and I held a contest for the chance to win a styled session: complete with hair, makeup, styling and props. Our winners were Cady and Megan. I couldn't have picked better models if I tried!
We met up with the girls and came up with some great ideas, but we all agreed our favorite was a 1950s best friend, road trip shoot! We planned for months and then in August we finally did the shoot over a period of two days. I can't even begin to tell you how perfectly everything fell into place. Megan's husband Jim tracked down some vintage vehicles for us to borrow and my sister even had some of clients bringing in actual items from the 1950s!
Now, I don't want to brag, but seriously, my sister is way too talented for where we live and she needs to move to a city, although then I wouldn't have a stylist for my shoots haha. What she did with this shoot even surprised me! She was so spot on with makeup and especially hair! I didn't know it was possible to get a beehive like the one Megan rocked!
